"Muhtemelen Güneş" / "Perhaps the Sun"

Daha önce de anlatmışımdır; "ben CANımı rüyalarımda büyüttüm" diye. Olması için beklediğimiz şeylerin gerçekleşmiş halini, olayın öncesinde rüyalarımda görmek bir rütüel haline geldi. Adeta rüyalar ilk müjdeci oldu hep geçmişimizde...

Dün gece rüyamda İngilizce sınıfındaydık, sanki şimdikinden birkaç yaş büyükler hepsi, ailelerin de katıldığı bir etkinlik var. İngilizce şarkılar, oyunlar derken öğretmen gelip CANa bir soru soruyor. Soruyu duymadım mı, yoksa hatırlayamıyor muyum, bilmiyorum, çünkü cevap beni öylesine şok ediyor ki, adeta tüm dünya duruyor o an: "perhaps the sun" diyor CAN, yani "muhtemelen güneş". Ve ne oluyorsa ondan sonra oluyor zaten. Sanki uzun süredir beklenen ilk kelimeler bunlar ve bütün sınıf alkışlamaya başlıyor, gelip sarılanlar oluyor öğrencilerden CANı tebrik etmek için. Ve CAN koşar adım gidip birkaç arkadaşına sarılıyor, desteklerinden dolayı teşekkür edercesine... Ve evet ben yine ağlayarak uyanıyorum...

Bunu hiç beklemiyordum işte. CANın ingilizce konuşması beklentilerim arasına ne zaman girmişti ki ben bunun rüyasını görüyordum? Kendime bir kez daha hayret ediyorum ve diyorum ki, CAN bunu da başardığında şaşırmamak için hazırlanmaya başlamak lazım :)


I must have explained before that "I have grown CAN in my dreams". It has become a ritual for me to see the dream about the thing we were hoping for as realized, before it really happens. Dreams have become the harbinger in our history...

Last night in my dream we were in the English class, it is like they are a few years older then they are now, there is an event that families too participated in. Games and songs in English were played and sang, then the teacher came up to CAN and asked a question. I do not know if it were that I did not hear the question or if I do not remember it, because the answer shocked me, as if the whole world stopped at that very moment: CAN said "perhaps the sun", perhaps the sun. Whatever happened it all happened there after. It is as though those were the first words that have been waited for, everybody started applauding, some of the students came and hug CAN to congratulate. And CAN leaped with quick steps to hug some friends like he was thanking them for their support... And yes I woke up crying again...

I was not expecting this at all. When had CAN's English become part of my expectations, that I was dreaming about it? I am astonished once more and all I can say is that, I should be prepared not to be surprised when CAN succeeds in this too :)
